Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
We go to the office when we have training sessions or sometimes I go out to the Radar sites to fix problems that have occurred or can try and resolve them remotely from our main sites.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Very interactive, people are very welcoming and are always willing to help me and the other apprentices with whatever we need and they also slow down the work we are doing to help us understand what is happening and why we do it the way we do.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt a load of new skills and knowledge especially about how Radars work and the functions they have. Also I have learnt about how a lot of the systems work individually and also together.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
We always know what events are going on and where they are and what time they happen. Also I know about the different events that are happening multiple months in advance.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I always get the answers I need and even if the person I ask doesn't know they will always try and find out the answer of give me the contact details of the person that may know the answers.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
The training provider is good but it is online and that isn't my preferred method of study but it is still good. I am also aware that feedback has been received by the company and they are looking into a new training provider to see if they are better suited for the job roles we offer.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It gives me the base knowledge of maths and engineering that will help me make better decisions within the work place.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are many social groups within NATS and they are always very friendly and welcoming.
