Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I open my laptop and check emails. Respond to them and send more. I go on funder portal and put information in for a deal for credit application. I go on calls with account managers to confirm things and solve issues. I go meet our partners at their office, for activities and dinners.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy it, because my team and others from external offices are sooo helpfull and kind.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I'm still learning to type professional emails, and how to make small talk. I've learnt about different financial terms, how to use portals.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I would say its not very structured. Its more of seeing what deals are available for me to take under the mentorship of my line manager, and then we'll do what's available. until I start getting the hang of it and I'll ask for help when I need it.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support through 1 to 1s, being able to reach out to anyone on the team, having my cohort being so helpful with advice, I am also fortunate to be able to reach out to anyone in the company through email or in person as the work culture and morals people possess is amazing.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My amazing skills coach always checks and responds to things quickly. We also have monthly sessions on the topics were covering as well as progress reviews.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I am able to understand about how business functions, which helps me better understand my role, as well as any challenges the company might face and how they'd go about it so im as less effected as possible

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

They have different groups like the green team which I'm apart of, we have meetings. They have food in for eid or christmas or diwali. They also have boat parties to get nominated for. Or football.
