Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role consists of building, modifying and testing prototype turbos.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy the work side of my programme a lot, however the training centre side of my apprenticeship can sometimes be frustrating

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have gained many hands on skills at my job and become a lot more confident when completing tasks.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is very well organised at work as there is a skills matrix system designed to track progress and set learning targets within the workplace
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
The management and senior leadership team in the lab at Cummins are very supportive and help with training centre work when needed
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
The teaching at the training provider is confusing and I often find I am teaching myself
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
Some of the hands on teaching at the training provider such as how to use manual machines (lathes) was good, however some of the in class modules on my HNC seem irrelevant
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
At work there is a mandatory paid volunteering called EEEC that everyone must take part in. This involves events that benefit the local community such as Christmas tree collection
