My role consists of cold calling, managing accounts, creating relationships with customers, and working strategically with them and industry vendors to provide key high ROI solutions
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

My programme is really engaging and well structured, being very supportive in helping me learn the methodologies and enabling success in my role. Softcat provides a community built to support and help one another in an attempt to influence success throughout the entire business, as well as ensure that each individual feels included and a part of the business and community, to keep morale high, and ensure that each member of staff enjoys working at the company

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, Softcat has helped and supported me in learning new skills, like being able to adapt socially for customers and stay organised and on top of tasks that need to be completed for customers to ensure success within the role.
They also teach the importance of mental health and the skills and methods to be able to maintain it positively, to stay happy, and not suffer while working at the company

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is well structured, providing support and clear instructions on tasks that need to be completed and the timeframes that follow. Softcat and this programme have also made it a point to appoint 121 mentors and managers to oversee and ensure that we are supported constantly and will never feel that they are stuck and don't have any help
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive constant support from managers and peers who are always willing to help whenever I am stuck and provide their guidance and wisdom on situations to help ensure that I see success
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider contacts me frequently to check up on progress and ask if I need any support with the projects
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification is massively beneficial in being successful in my job role, teaching me different methodologies to effectively cold outreach and qualify opportunities with customers to get the most opportunities possible
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Softcat always hosts events and team nights out to help build community and treat staff with free lunches and activities like setting up carnival games and random fancy dress days
