Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I'm a sales support apprentice, and my role involves supporting account managers day to day sales. On a typical day, I help with creating and checking quotes, communicating with distributors and vendors to confirm pricing, availability and lead times. I also support the order process.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme, it's helped me gain workplace experience while learning new skills. I enjoy applying what i've learnt to my role and having a good support foundation from my team, manager and apprenticeship mentors. The mix of hands on experience and development opportunities has helped me grow in confidence and I feel as though i am constantly learning and improving.

Yes, I would definitely recommend Softcat to a friend. The culture is very friendly and supportive, there are lots of opportunities to learn and get involved, and I’ve felt well supported throughout my apprenticeship. It’s a positive environment to work in and develop both professionally and personally.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Softcat?
Be yourself and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Softcat really values attitude and willingness to learn, so showing enthusiasm and a positive mindset goes a long way. It also helps to do a bit of research on the company beforehand and be open to getting involved.
