Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a day to day basis, I attend meetings with both my manager and different colleagues in my team, to support on a range of different projects. I have used a range of different applications and softwares to analyse and present data, such as Excel and PowerPoint.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy networking with a range of colleagues in different teams, where I can learn more about the parts of the bank and the different roles. I enjoy learning on the job, and attending lectures which I apply the knowledge I learn in my everyday.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have significantly developed my people and speaking skills, where I can confidently network with different colleagues at a variety of seniority, which I previously wouldn't have felt as comfortable doing. I have built my technical skills, such as using technology and AI, such as Excel. I have began to develop my presenting skills which is vital, through different projects with other apprentices. I am also developing my critical thinking skills, through problem solving and applying it to a large business.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is very well structured, I had the first month to settle into my job and network with my team, where I started to be introduced to the different applications and software used in my role. We have a clear plan of deadlines and when each part of the apprenticeship will happen.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive amazing support from my employer, in particular my line manager as well as the other colleagues in my team. I am very comfortable asking questions and being open with my manager about my work and when I need support in both my work and personal life.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive lots of support from my training provider, with regular check in calls to see how I am doing, as well as support with tasks and assignments when needed. We also receive feedback from our talent coaches from the training provider to improve our work.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification has given me both a foundation and further knowledge of banking which I apply to my role, to help understand how my role fits into the business as a whole, as well as how the bank works.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, there are many networking events, as well as social activities, such as runs and colouring. My team has a monthly social which could be a breakfast or an activity.

Why?
I feel very supported in my role by my training provider and employer, and I feel my career/personal development is prioritised. It is a great welcoming environment to work in.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
My advice would be research the values and purpose of the bank, to show how you will fit in and make a difference.
