Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves managing the Analytics team. We produce standard regular reports and ad hoc reporting, annual reward processes, support projects, build and maintain dashboards and support with internal and external audits.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme was brilliant, very well thought out in terms of introducing new concepts gradually throughout the modules. There was lots of support via the coaches and mentors as well as peer support using the online forum. The mix of online webinars, group work and solo worksheets suited a variety of learning styles and gave us valuable practice to apply what we learned.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've learnt coding including Python and SQL. This included how to pull out data, prepare it and then analyse it. I learnt about the data analytics cycle process and how to work with stakeholders to truly understand business problems.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The structure of the programme was good. There were breaks in between modules to allow us to practice what we had learned through worksheets and within our workplace.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I had the full support of my employer who allowed me the time I needed to work on the apprenticeship and supported me in ideas for how to apply it to my role.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I had great support from my provider, there were the coaches and mentors as well as the specific trainers for the course. With so much content to work through in the sessions there wasn't always a lot of time to ask questions but we had the opportunity to attend a weekly office hours session on a Friday to talk through any questions we had.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I have been able to apply some of the content I learnt into my role, however, I have been limited by access to software due to security constraints. There have been ways I have been able to work around it in order to complete my projects though.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, there are a variety of networks to get involved in and I have connected with other analytics teams in the business to share best practice and learn from them.

Why?
I have been well supported throughout my career with Sodexo and whilst doing my apprenticeship. I have been given the time and guidance needed to complete it to the best of my ability. I have had great opportunities to get involved in work projects that interest me and my development is regularly discussed.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sodexo UK?
There is a lot to learn but there are so many opportunities available within Sodexo, so I would take the time to speak to your teams and stakeholders to understand the business.
