Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My job involves working in a team that supports brokers and client managers within a specialist area of Commercial insurance and reinsurance. I do a lot of administrative tasks such as creating policies and endorsements, also answering queries and processing premiums/Invoices.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoyed the apprenticeship programme which was very engaging and interactive through meeting new people and participating in networking events and social projects. However, the timeframe to complete exams and assignments in 18 months is quite a push.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed my communication skills in all aspects whether it is face to face, via email or calls. I have also developed my time management skills and i have become better at prioritising certain tasks.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is well organised by offering a wide range of events and training sessions between studying for exams. However, the structure does not have much contingency plan in place to catch up with exams/assignments if you have time off work i.e. annual leave, and therefore time off studying.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

There is support with overviews of the apprenticeship programme and support with study time each week and study leave to complete exams, however there is quite a bit of pressure to complete exams within the set deadlines.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider has supported me by creating a plan to complete tasks within my OTJ hours and providing mock papers and providing the text book for each module, however there is a lot of tasks to do in short time and i did not see much support with this aspect.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe learning how to use skills and behaviours in different scenarios within my role at work has boosted my confidence to excel in the industry. In addition, learning key knowledge such as insurance jargon and how the insurance market works has improved my understanding of the wider impact of my job and the roles of my colleagues.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are plenty of sports teams, charity events, Business Resource Groups (BRGs), social/networking events
