Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves talking to colleagues to work out what the best way to solve a problem is. Picking up tasks on the sprint board to solve a certain broken down problem to help complete the full system and work independently as a developer or ask for colleagues help if i am struggling. We also work on thinking about the architecture of a system or program in an intelligent way to efficiently create a project with good programming practices. 1 day a week i stay home from work so that I can complete my university work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I love the program as i have had plenty of room to grow as a developer due to the help of my colleagues and boss. The environment is amazing and i look forward into coming to work everyday. They have set it up great so that i have the time to do my university work without it stressing me out with a work balance.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My skills have developed astronomically since being here as i have learnt off of very skilled developers where i have been able to ask loads of questions and pickup their good programming habits. RDT will pay for certifications that i can also do to further develop my skills.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The program is structured great as i have the freedom to take study days when i need to so that it works around the schedule i need. At first support was alot as there was alot to learn but as their confidence in me has gone up im allowed to be alot more independent.

I have a coach who i can speak to whenever i need help and the people that run each module are always free to be contacted

I think that it helps me consolidate the core fundamentals of my role

I think its a great place to start your career off as you get so much exposure to many aspects of the company and see code through from development to deployment.

To learn fundamentals outside so that you can get the feel of independence of seeing your own tasks all the way through
