Overview of Role

4/5
As a trainee manager, my role is overseeing the smooth operations of running shifts while supporting my team and customers. I help lead my team by delegating tasks, monitoring performance and ensuring everyone follows company standards for service, cleanliness and food safety. I am often on floor dealing with customer quieter and step in to resolve any issues professionally, making sure customers leave my store satisfied. I also assist with operations duties such as stock checks, cash handling, and maintaining hygiene standards. Throughout my role, I am developing my leadership skills, managing targets such as speed of service or sales and also coaching my members. Nonetheless my role is a balance on hand in services and learning how to run the restaurant effectively and efficiently.

I enjoy it to a great extent because it gives me the opportunity to develop practical leadership and management skills while working in a fast paced environment. I enjoy leading a team, handling real customer situations and taking on responsibilities during shift. This helps me build confidence and prepares me for future management roles. The structured learning and hands on experience keeps this programme engaging although it can be difficult at times to balance work responsibilities with training requirements. However I find it rewarding as I can see my progress and growth both professionally and personally.
