Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
On a day‑to‑day basis, my work typically includes:
Developing sector insight and analysis, including market trends, risks and opportunities, to inform sector strategies and client conversations.
Supporting campaign and initiative delivery, such as prospecting campaigns and sector events, ensuring activity is well‑coordinated, tracked and aligned to strategic objectives.
Producing senior‑ready outputs, including PowerPoint slides, briefings, sector updates and performance summaries, often requiring clear, data‑led messaging.
Working closely with internal stakeholders across Coverage, Product, Marketing, Credit and Analytics teams to help embed sector priorities and deliver joined‑up activity.
Tracking and reporting impact, for example reviewing campaign outcomes, uptake of initiatives and measurable commercial impact to support future decision‑making.
Supporting colleague enablement, through sector communications, insight packs or training materials that help improve consistency and quality of client conversations.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
What I enjoy most is:
The variety of work, spanning analysis, strategy, communications and stakeholder engagement.
The opportunity to work across multiple sectors and teams, which has quickly broadened my understanding of Commercial Banking.
The emphasis on learning by doing, where I am trusted with meaningful pieces of work that contribute to wider team objectives.
The supportive environment, where feedback and coaching are actively encouraged as part of ongoing development.
Overall, the programme has been both challenging and rewarding, and it has reinforced my interest in pursuing a long‑term career aligned to strategy, insight and commercial impact within the organisation.
