I’m a Software Engineer at Lloyds Bnaking Group working on internal applications used across the bank. I contribute across the full software development lifecycle—designing, building, testing and supporting full‑stack solutions in an agile environment, while ensuring changes are safe, compliant and operationally resilient. I work with the latest AI technologies on a day-to-day basis to help deliver the goals of the bank.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoyed the programme very much, as a career changer, it was a huge change for me, but the culture at Lloyds Banking Group has really helped me settle into my role, and deliver from day 1.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed so many new skills from software engineering fundamentals to stakeholder engagement, presenting skills to wider audiences both technical and non-technical, and also developing personally. It's been a real joy to see how much I've learnt in such a short space of time.

I have so much support from Line Managers and I have been assigned a mentor to help me through the programme also.

The specific learning mentor you are provided by BPP has been amazing for me, and she has really helped develop me into a competent software engineer.
