Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Supporting client teams with any work necessary. Preparing and collating documents for upcoming client meetings. Also completed an internal project with other UK interns about Business Resource Groups at the firm.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
To an extent, I was responsible for my individual tasks but was always supervised by a more senior team member who would check my work before passing it on.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Developed my tech skills including Excel, PowerPoint and PDFs. Developed my professional communication skills regarding sending appropriate emails and messages. Developed my team-working skills as I had never worked in the finance industry before.

Very chilled and flexible regarding dress code and working hours. A lot of working from home at the current time.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
Really enjoyed working with the team. Sometimes waiting on work being given but my team in particular were often delegating work to me which was appreciated. The work itself was usually interesting, specifically if you are interested in the financial markets.
