Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Communicating with members of the public and working with partner agencies such as Local Authorities, Local Charities and agencies. Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour, minor crime, safeguarding and providing reassurance to the public as well as supporting colleagues within policing.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme as it allows me to work whilst learning to develop myself professionally and personally. This helps me develop as I enjoy learning with hands on experience dealing with a variety of things each day.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt and developed new skills such as my communication skills with members of the public and partner agencies learning how to adapt my communication to different audiences and people that we deal with on a regular basis. I feel that I will continue to develop and learn new skills as I progress within my role.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is well structured and easy to understand the programme and it's goals. Objectives are set out very clear from day one and a full time line is provided on how you will progress and develop.

Documenting and reviewing towards my qualification has helped me to understand and perform better in my role as I have been able to assess myself and my practice solidify my knowledge for my role.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes there is a sports and social club were various activities are provided to get involved with including the opportunity for national competitions and events.
