My current role involves providing support to different teams working on business cases for policies going to investment committee. It also involves reading and providing briefing/comments on these cases to help inform senior leaders investment decisions.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the cross-team work, I have enough time to work on individual projects and develop skills through additional working groups

A lot of the skills are transferable and are developed across work and studies but most of the in-depth economics knowledge isn't applied too much.

Why?
It's a very welcoming atmosphere for apprentices, they have been hiring apprentices for many years so there is a lot of support and guidance in place.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Department for Work and Pensions?
Be impartial but not insincerely and have a lot of STAR examples for your civil service behaviours.
