As a Work Coach I spend most of my work day in appointments with customers who are claiming Universal Credit. This includes creating customer commitments, which is the actions that they agree to take in order to receive Universal Credit, and tailoring those commitments to customers' circumstances. I also provide a point of contact for customers to report changes to their circumstances, ask questions in regards to their claim and UC, and help customers to create a work plan that they will follow in order to get into work.
