Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I rotate positions on the engineering side of the company every 6 months for the 4 years of the apprenticeship. This has given me the ability to learn every role, the people who I work beside and how my work impacts the next person.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
The people and managers are fantastic, flexible and very understanding.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
It's enhanced my software skills, social and communicating and the confidence to always ask questions to learn and grow as a person and my career.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
College days are consistent with consistent lessons each week with the 6 month role being up to me to which one I would like to do, some rotations more organized and planned and others more free flowing as the work arrives on the day to what we will be doing.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Very supportive and understanding to learning curves in work and home life. Any questions they will either have an answer or will always find it for you, always happy to help and never have to worried about asking for it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My college work is essential for me passing my apprenticeship. They keep in touch with the college when they come in for progress reviews to see how I'm doing at work and they make sure that my lessons are covering all they need to and that I'm getting the help I need to hit my deadlines.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
It's giving me the excellent groundwork of not only knowledge but connections I need that will help my career thrive here after I finish my apprenticeship.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There is volunteering that is organized by Cummins with encourages all sorts of helping the community and you also get to meet others in different parts of the company that you wouldn't usually come across in the office. There is other things available to but the details of which are not to my knowledge yet.
