Producing reports for senior management.
Analysing net margin and operating expenditure.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Lots of responsibility. I help produce reports that are presented to senior management.
I have been given projects which have helped my team save time and analyse different areas of the business.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I have received lots of support and guidance. There was a two week handover with the previous intern which meant that we had time to understand the role and company from someone who was in our shoes a year earlier.
From there, my teams were happy to help me and answer my questions whenever.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Very welcoming culture, I felt part of the company very early on.
It is a good working atmosphere, it is casual and friendly.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I have greatly enjoyed my placement. I have gained valuable skills and experience which will be very useful in my final year at university but even more important for when I am applying for a job for after university. I now have a range of experience using excel, financial reporting tools and reporting for senior management.

What advice would you give to others applying to Travelport

Definitely apply, it has given me invaluable experience which has put me in a great place for when I apply for a job for after university.
It is a very welcoming working environment which is perfect for a placement year where it is likely to be your first year in a corporate environment.
