Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am rotating between 3 areas of the business in order to gain wide experience. I am currently in transformation with contract management and my day to day is around refining contracts alongside liaising with other team such as procurement in order to achieve an outcome.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I very much am enjoying my programme and are even more excited to start my next rotations

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My role currently is within project management and as business is a fairly new subject to me, I am constantly learning and upgrading my skills. For example learning agile and Jira alongside doing a project management course called the APM.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Structured well however I am only in my first year but so far they have improved on any inconsistencies in the programme.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
A lot of support, constantly pushing us to get as much exposure as possible and they are very accommodating especially my manager.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

They are very supportive
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The module we are currently doing is in line with my role as it is in project management so I would say it does help me perform and understand my role better.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are several volunteer opportunity for the early careers network and some social after work, There however could be more activities.

They are very accommodating and understanding, always pushing you to get more experience and upskill. Very friendly and open environment.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT Group?
Get a lot of experience and emphasise on soft skills and the way you can adapt them to make the most of an apprenticeship at BT Group
