Great balance of in office work and out on-site which makes each day feel different. When in the office you are learning to use tools that help related to the management and processing of data. Out on site involves surveying, collecting and engineering to bring projects to life.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Great opportunity that is the perfect blend of university studying along with real work experience that helps you develop a career.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Either while studying in a university classroom, in the office or out on a construction site there is always skills and information to learn with so much support offered to help you.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Clear timetable for when I attend university with coursework dates given in advanced. Multiple meetings offered to clearly layout my future and how the programme will develop.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

As per the apprenticeship contract I am offered time within works each week to dedicated to my studies/revision. Many of my more experienced co-workers have offered their help me to as well so feel very confident with a web of support around me.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Most teachers within the institute are excellent and offer lots of support in and out of the classroom. However as per the contract I should be offered a mentor role from the university to help guide me and support me with my ICE membership path.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It is a key part of the process that teaches you many valuable transferable skills related to critical thinking, researching and analysing problems. However learning on the job is always more valuable as this prepares the skills crucial to your career.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

My work offers multiple events and groups like a weekly football game as well as irregular social events like quiz night.
