Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Bond Turner Solicitors?
I joined Bond Turner Solicitors straight out of university as my first legal role, and it has been an incredibly positive experience from day one. The firm offers a genuinely welcoming environment with a strong culture of learning and professional development. I feel encouraged, supported, and appreciated on a daily basis, which makes coming to work something I genuinely enjoy.
Bond Turner also places real value on community and engagement. There are frequent charity events and regular activities that help bring everyone together. There is always someone available to talk to, and asking questions is openly encouraged, which has helped me grow both in confidence and in knowledge. Overall, it has been a fantastic place to begin my legal career.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I am a paralegal in the Complex Injury Team.
In my role, I communicate directly with clients, prepare Court documents and bundles, and review medical records. The aspect I enjoy most is taking and drafting Witness Statements, as it allows me to combine client liaison with detailed document preparation, two elements of the job that I find particularly rewarding.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
5/5
I always feel valued, not only by my team but by the firm as a whole.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
5/5
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?
5/5
I have been able to develop a strong foundation in key legal skills, including client communication, drafting, reviewing medical records, and preparing Court documents and bundles. The hands‑on experience I gain each day has strengthened my confidence and understanding of the litigation process.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
5/5
There is always additional training to attend to strengthen legal knowledge and to stay commercially aware.

Experience & Company Culture

How is the support you receive?
5/5
The support I receive is excellent. The support comes from all avenues including my manager, my team and training supervisors and other paralegals.
If I ever have a problem, there is someone in the firm who can and will help.
How is your work-life balance?
5/5
We are given a full one‑hour lunch break, and it is strongly encouraged that we take this time away from our desks rather than work through it. This creates a healthy work–life balance and helps maintain productivity throughout the day.
Overtime is not mandatory, which I really appreciate. If we do choose to work additional hours, it is paid at time and a half, making it both fair and worthwhile. This flexibility allows us to manage our workload effectively while still feeling valued for any extra time we contribute.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?
5/5
How would you rate Bond Turner Solicitors initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?
