Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Supervising the daily activities across all departments, ensuring smooth workflow and alignment with organizational goals. Monitor performance, resolve operational issues and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. Strategic planning, financial management,HR management, marketing and sales co-ordination, compliance and risk management, leadership and communication. Both a hands-on and strategic, balancing day to day management with long term planning to foster growth and efficiency.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Completing my lifetime apprenticeship along side my role as a business leader with McDonald's has provided me with opportunities to learn new skills and gain practical experience in a business environment, which I apply directly to my current role daily. It has helped improve my leadership skills and enhanced my knowledge on leading high-performance teams, recruitment, legislation, compliance, and risk management

The process is both structured and flexible a set path with regular review process, mentorship and coaching but with the flexibility to get ahead or plan around both my business and homelife.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The support through the process has been fantastic from both my mentor and from my coach, along with my area supervisor who provides me with additional tasks to ensure I am continually gaining my off job experiences.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My lifetime coach has been a constant support throughout the process, his communication style, empathy, and ability to motivate and engage through the entire process has really helped to shape the apprenticeship experience.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The apprenticeship has giving me the confidence to talk about the skills I have gained within the 23 years of working in the company, it has enhanced my abilities and furthered my knowledge.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Business management Conference every 4 years, providing networking opportunities, continuous learning, global strategies ahead of trends, building collaboration and gaining expert insights. There are also several social gatherings within the franchise and restauarnt teams per year.

Why?
Having started here over 23 years ago, there are many reasons that I feel McDonald's is a great company to work for. The worklife balance and flexibility that allows for me to gain fortfilment in work. Gain essential life skills, enhanced leadership skills but allows me the flexibility as a parent to make every school commitment, provides me with a sabbatical every 10 years which is priceless and opportunities to further my growth, take secondments and learn new skills, work in a diverse and dynamic workforce that keeps me on my toes are just a few of the reasons that I chose to make McDonald's my forever job.
