I am a Senior Support Worker for The You Trust - Portsmouth SL. I help to support 4 Supported living homes. I enjoy my job role and supporting individuals to ensure they have a high quality of life.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoyed completing my Level 3 Diploma and the skills I developed helped me to feel more confident within my role. I would highly recommend to all to complete Diploma training, you are highly supported. I am looking to complete my Level 4 Diploma and develop further in the company.
Skills Development

My confidence has grown within my role.
I am now confident to assess individual's , Physical, Mental and emotional needs.
My skills have developed and knowledge has progressed in:
- Safeguarding : Best practice / Procedures
- Person Centred Care Planning : Creating tailored support to meet the needs of Individual's
- Medication Management - following Polices, Procedures and best practice
- Knowledge and confidence to attend MDT meetings
- Confidence has grown with leadership and mentoring skills

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very good- the Diploma is well spaced out and I did not feel overwhelmed to complete. I was supported through out with my mentor and found it very useful that my training was completed remotely.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My Line Manager was very supportive throughout my Diploma and I was given study days away from my working role to complete.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider was very supportive and would check in regularly for support.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My confidence has grown immensely and I am able to lead my team to high standard due to the skills I have learn from my Level 3 Diploma.

I have worked now worked for The You Trust for nearly 10 years and feel it is a brilliantly ran service. The Management team are very supportive and there are lots of training options available- which can help you to develop within your role.
