Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Supporting people with learning and physical disabilities, to promote independence, and quality of life.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I was already in post as a disability support worker, but wanted to attain my level 3 to open the opportunity to be promoted to Deputy manager. I have achieved this promotion with the help of my level 3 apprenticeship.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
The apprenticeship helped me gain the relevant knowledge, and skills to fulfil my work role to a better standard, and apply what I have learnt to be considered for promotion.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I felt support throughout the course by my Manager and the learning team at the You trust. My mentor was excellent, as well as my Tutor.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer has helped support me through the course every step. I was given the time and opportunities to complete the course, which ended with me passing with a Merit.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My Tutor was amazing! She supported me through the course and was always there anytime I needed support.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The level 3 course made me more aware of the legislation that underpins my role, which in turn has made me more mindful of a person centred approach when supporting our residents.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
We have social events from time to time organised between staff.
