Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As a Sales Associate on Computacenter’s graduate programme, your day‑to‑day role centres around building the core skills needed to become a high‑performing IT sales professional, supported by structured development and business rotations. You spend time working across different areas of the organisation to understand Computacenter’s capabilities, shadow experienced colleagues, and learn how technology and services help customers achieve their business goals. Your days typically involve activities such as simulated sales exercises, presentations, customer‑facing documentation, stakeholder engagement, and developing your technical and commercial knowledge through training and coaching. The programme also includes interacting with senior stakeholders, pitching back what you’ve learned, and becoming progressively more embedded in real accounts as you prepare for your permanent sales role
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
Loved the programme. Was a great start to my career.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes — the programme has helped me build a wide range of new skills while strengthening the ones I already had. Through rotations, training sessions and pitch activities, I’ve developed strong presentation and public‑speaking skills, improved my ability to analyse competitors, and gained confidence in customer engagement and relationship building.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is very well organised, with a clear structure, regular check‑ins, and a progression that builds your skills step‑by‑step. Training is delivered consistently, and each rotation is planned to give you meaningful exposure to different parts of the business.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
You receive a lot of support throughout the programme — including regular check‑ins, guidance from mentors and managers, and consistent help during training and rotations. The feedback and development structure is strong, and support is available whenever you need it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
You receive strong, consistent support from your training provider. They hold regular monthly check‑ins, run support workshops, and are always available to help whenever you need guidance while working towards your qualification.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Your qualification clearly helps you perform better in your role — it gives you a stronger understanding of the full sales process and develops practical skills that translate directly into your day‑to‑day work. Apprentices highlight that the training deepens their grasp of key sales activities and improves their confidence in applying these skills with customers.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes — there are plenty of extra‑curricular activities you can get involved in at Computacenter. Apprentices and associates mention a wide range of social activities, networking events, volunteering opportunities, sports involvement, and team socials. These include professional networking events, supplier/customer events, team meals, office visits, and broader social gatherings, as well as colleagues engaging in sports teams or coaching outside of work with full encouragement from the programme.
