Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As a Sales and Marketing Associate Apprentice within the EMEA Truck Business, my role supports the sales and marketing function by helping to build strong customer relationships, promote products and services, and ensure effective communication between internal teams and external stakeholders. The role combines both sales support activities and marketing coordination, allowing me to develop a broad understanding of how commercial strategies are planned, communicated, and delivered across the business.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy my Sales and Marketing Apprenticeship programme to a very great extent, as it provides a strong balance between practical workplace experience and structured learning. One of the aspects I enjoy most is that the programme allows me to develop real, transferable skills while actively contributing to the business, rather than learning purely in a classroom environment. For example, through my onboarding and early tasks, I gained a strong understanding of Cummins’ history, values, and organisational structure, which helped me feel engaged and motivated from the start.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, through my Sales and Marketing Apprenticeship I have learnt a range of new skills and significantly developed existing ones, particularly in communication, organisation, and business awareness. One of the first areas of development was my understanding of the organisation itself. During onboarding, I learnt about Cummins’ history, values, and structure, which helped me build strong foundational knowledge and confidence in my role. This early learning supported my ability to engage more effectively with colleagues and understand how different teams contribute to the wider business.
