Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
It involves moving around 4 different placements within Business Administration, 6 month rotations, learning key skills and gaining knowledge in various aspects of the business. Day to day work depends on the placement you are in but is mostly administrative tasks e.b taking meeting minutes, pulling reports, arranging and running meetings etc.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
It is quite enjoyable and nice to learn within a range of different teams and areas of the business.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, a lot of roles require similar tasks which have allowed me to progress in my Excel skills and communication skills with internal/external stakeholders. I am also much more adept in writing emails and conversing with more senior members in the business.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It is well structured, we have set college days which allow us to progress in our learning. These dates are given to us right at the starting point of our journey. However, i do believe some of the knowledge delivery sessions could be implemented earlier to give us more time to complete the vast amount of work we have to get through.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
All employers have been very supportive thus far, understanding that everything is quite new as an apprentice and giving us the space to improve and progress, while offering support and guidance.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Skills coaches are very supportive throughout in terms of working towards our qualification, responding imminently to any queries we may have and offering guidance for any work we may be struggling with.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I feel like learning about the importance of communicating with stakeholders and different policies/regulations allows me to perform confidently within my role with the knowledge i have gained.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Not that i am aware of but there is definitely stretch work and initiatives that all staff are welcome and encouraged to get involved with.
