Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Each day differs and this changes each year as you change placement but I currently work at the start of the lifecycle in Business Development. This may involve holding risk, stakeholder and strategic sessions and I also help do some functional work aiming to develop processes for this area.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
The overall programme is really good and I get to be involved with lots of different types of work not just in my placement but outside of it. I also get many chances to further my development with my favourite part of the scheme being the friends you make and the experiences you have together.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt many new skills mostly technical project management based but have also learnt a lot about people. For example, managing them, breaking into a new team, building trust etc.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Generally well structured but not perfect
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a large amount of support from my early careers coaches, placement managers and uni staff
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I have also received lots of support for this and have never felt isolated in studying for qualifications
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I think it helps prepare me for learning new types of work in the different placements I go into
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There is stretch assignments but these are all work based, you are able to get involved with being a Stem Ambassador aswell but in terms of things outside of work to do, there isn't much to offer.
