I work in External Commercial Product sourcing as a Clinical Supply Associate. This involves supporting moving study drugs from external manufacturers to global distribution centers so clinical trial sites get what they need on time.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Both my confidence and organisation skills have grown massively during my apprenticeship so far. There have been training days to support the development of new skills such as a presentation workshop, these have been very enjoyable and helpful.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

There has been a lot of support available to me. I have been appointed a mentor and a buddy which have been great points of contact for any questions. My manager also offers me support if and when I need it.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The support is limited due to the nature of being online. Questions are usually answered over email which is helpful however some topics can be hard to explain over email and end up in more confusion.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I am part of an apprentice netball team which has been great as I have been able to meet apprentices in other years and other departments who I might not have met otherwise.

Yes

Why?

I would recommend AstraZeneca especially for early careers due to the amount of support on offer. I was made to feel very welcomed when joining to help make a smooth transition into the team.
