Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role as a solicitor apprentice is to essentially step in where needed to help out on matters in my team, this could range from taking attendance notes to drafting letters or attending court.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learned many skills throughout my time as a solicitor apprentice - how to research cases, how to assemble bundles, take attendance notes, how to effectively manage my time and prioritise tasks among many others.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very organised, we are told the structure of the programme from the outset so there are no surprises down the line.

5/5
All the support you need is there, you just need to ask for it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
A lot of support, as well as quarterly meetings with your skills coach at university to discuss progression.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Extremely - you cannot practice law as a solicitor without a legal qualification.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Many sports teams to choose from including football, rugby and netball, many networking events, but few social activities.
