Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My job role is based in Operations and Logistics, meaning this can be a hugely varied role. I have been involved in many things within the Operations department, including but not limited to, managing our
global travel inbox and travel management, events, internal events management, Project Management etc. I do not have a set day-to-day, as my role is consistently growing and evolving. My day usually revolved around what projects are the most time critical and working around that.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my role, and the Apprentice Programme I took part in has been incredibly beneficial for my career development and progression. Because my job is so varied, I’ve been able to gain experience across a range of different departments and interact with people in many different roles. This has allowed me to be as social and involved as I’d like, while also contributing to the significant progress I’ve made in my career.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have been able to develop a huge amount of skills, including organisation, prioritisation, and mainly communication. Being able to speak to suck a huge amount of people across the company has massively improved my confidence and competence. Working on multiple projects at the same time has allowed for me to maximize my potential and learn to balance effectively across projects.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The Programme I am on is incredibly well structured, allowing me to balance this around my work feasibly. Following a structured routine of workshops alongside calls with coaches has allowed me to maintain on track.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My line manager is incredibly supportive in my apprenticeship work, and allows for me to take the time that is necessary to keep me on track.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The provider I am working with organizes personal coaches as well as calls with them regularly to maintain that we are allowed the support that is necessary.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualification allows for me to get a greater grasp of the workforce generally, whilst also enabling me to improve my confidence and knowledge across the practice of my job
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Networking events and extracurricular events occur often and are particularly easy to become involved with. We also offer committees to join which do specific events.

Why?
Christie's is an excellent workplace, with a huge amount of opportunities on offer. As well as being a supportive and social workforce, employee's are provided with a sense of agency and supported across the business.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Christie's?
I would advise for those interested to be personable. This is a huge part of the Christie's environment, as we see ourselves as a community.
