Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
We work mostly on Global Travel and Internal Events. There are also other parts to the role such as committees, researching and admin which can take up lots of time too. On a day to day, we help with enquires and do research for those that need it, this means you gain a broad overview of what is going on in the building, globally and the topics you research on behalf of others.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy applying what I learn to the work I do and seeing how they overlap. It is useful in helping to gain knowledge on both an office environment and the business sector as a whole. I have found it to help with my confidence especially in areas such as doing PowerPoints and understanding different office standards.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
The skills I have developed the most includes my use of Excel, my confidence in PowerPoints and my understanding of some operational processes which comes especially from our internal event setups.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Our dashboard shows a clear outline of what is needed and the deadline applied. This makes it easy to know what is expected and if necessary you have a coach to reach out and ask questions too. You also have many regular catch-ups to go over the work and you do workshops to understand the content with your other apprentices.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
You are able to discuss the use of 1 of the 5 working days a week to use on Apprenticeship work. I find it is easier for me to do my larger tasks on those days and then filter the smaller tasks when I can. I also have regular reviews and catch-ups to understand how I am finding my apprenticeship work in connection to the day to day job tasks.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
There are many extra resources, we have regular meetings and are able to ask questions when needed. Our content is displayed in videos, transcripts, PowerPoints, reading materials and workshops. We will also have revision sessions when it gets closer to the exam periods.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Parts of our learning are about the workplace environment where it provides knowledge on areas such as escalation understanding, workplace health and safety and how to understand/communicate effectively in the workplace. This helps me to understand certain aspects of the workplace that I may not have thought about before.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are some apprenticeship socials every once in a while, and networking opportunities are quite often. We have quite a few committees that span over different themes such as our internal Cafe, and Operations focused group and running/walk clubs.
