Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I help with many of the administration tasks for the Post War and Contemporary Art Department. This includes contract creation, inventory management and raising POs to ensure suppliers are paid correctly. There are many other tasks but these are the main few.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy the programme. The work experience is so valuable and the direct exposure to the Art and Auction world is amazing! The apprenticeship work itself is very helpful and applicable to my day to day work tasks.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
So many! I used to be nervous writing a simple email but now its so natural. My confidence has grown, my general people and communication skills have grown as well as my understanding of many work systems which will be useful going forwards.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Very well organised - clear and easy to navigate and lots of help provided.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Lots of support. Always someone there to support me and encourage me with my self-development.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
We have a coach who checks in to ensure we are on track and doing ok. So very supportive.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I haven't yet been doing it long enough to answer in detail. However, business administration is the core of my role. So all the topics and modules are very relevant to what is expected from me in my current role and any future business admin based roles i may find myself in.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are so many regular networking events. The benefit of a large company is that you constantly have oppurtunities to meet new people.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Christie's to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Its very well-organised and a business anyone would be lucky to work for. The work ethic and passion amongst colleagues is evident and if you are someone who loves and appreciates Art it is definitely the place for you.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Christie's?
Have confidence in who you are and your capabilities. When you apply they just want to see who you are as a person, how you work in a team and if you seem responsible and capable to contribute positively.
