Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I work as a Data Analyst Apprentice in the Transport Experience & Insight team, supporting Lex Autolease, Black Horse and Tusker by analysing customer feedback, complaints and NPS data. My role focuses on turning raw data into clear insights that help the business understand customer pain points and improve service quality.
Day‑to‑day, my work involves:
Analysing complaints data across themes such as Vehicle Maintenance, Sundry Invoices, Collection, Financial Difficulty and more, using Excel, Power BI and dashboards.
Identifying trends, root causes and spikes by comparing month‑on‑month, year‑on‑year and 6‑month average data.
Building and maintaining dashboards for the team, including CLEC dashboards and NPS visualisations.
Preparing monthly insight summaries and slide decks for internal stakeholders (e.g., Lex Servicing, Transport Key Journeys, Onboarding NPS).
Cross‑checking data accuracy between Excel tables, Power BI, dashboards and Qualtrics to ensure reporting is correct.
Supporting thematic reviews by categorising complaints into sub‑themes and summarising findings.
Working with stakeholders such as Transport Customer Services, BCA and internal colleagues to understand issues behind complaint volumes.
Reviewing NPS performance (Onboarding, Corp Order, Digital Ease) and comparing against baselines, targets and YTD.
Using statistical and analytical methods to calculate averages, MoM changes, projections, run rates and uplifts.
Documenting learning and skills development for my Data Analyst apprenticeship.
Overall, my role is a mix of data analysis, insight generation, dashboard development and stakeholder communication, all aimed at improving the customer experience across Transport.
