Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I have worked in various teams on a wide span of projects from internal platforms to international projects. I get to experience varied work with support from Early careers and placement teams at all stages of the way.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I have enjoyed the program at all times and have been able to progress academically and professionally at an exceptional rate.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have been able to progress my existing skills, apply them to new problems as well as learn new skills that I have found invaluable to my time at BAE Systems.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Overall the Programme is very well structured, whilst working I know where I should be each day and all the support that is available to me. Issues have only come around with my education provider who are a 3rd party to BAE, whenever this has happened BAE have been very helpful and supportive.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Support is openly available to all, a wide range of different options from mental health support to on site physio are available. These supports are in all regular comms to ensure all employees are aware of them.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Training to provider have often changed timetables and schedules with few prior alerts which has caused issues with placement teams. BAE have always been available and supportive during these changes.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
So far I have only covered Level 4 material, this I have not found to beneficial to my job role but has still been valuable knowledge. As I move into higher level material I expect its use to be more visible.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Extra Curricular activities are available to employees but can often be hard to find due to a lack of regular comms, once you have found groups they are plentiful and provide a real support and networking opportunities.
