Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Engineering tasks in a nuclear facility.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
The placements are really good, uni is largely improved from previous years, the only downside is sometimes early careers treat us like we are children, compared with full time uni students and full time staff we do have to do a lot of mandatory training/development sessions that don't bring much benefit. it would be nice to just be left to get on with uni and placement work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I've learnt new skills at uni

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
placements are really well organised, as are the lectures and reviews
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Placement managers and functional leads provide a lot of support
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
the college skills coach is spot on, sometimes the uni can be a bit unorganised but that has improved this year
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
The degree doesn't really link to day to day work, its just nice information to have which surrounds the industry.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
Apprentices run their own events to get involved with, this is not supported by work though, it is a fully independent effort.
