Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
● Onboarding new clients and carrying out compliance such as ID checks and source of funds checks.
● Carrying out property related legal work such as granting and taking of commercial leases and
purchasing and selling commercial property.
● Carrying out corporate related legal work such as business sales and purchases.
● Carrying out commercial related legal work such as drafting business agreements and terms and
conditions.
● Carrying out post completion work.
● Attending client meetings and providing advice to clients over the phone.
● Mentoring work experiences placements.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I run my own files with a focus on share sales, commercial contracts, commercial leases.
Developed negotiation skills and knowledge of complex areas of corporate law
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?
Focus on working in different work types at first and as I have progressed I have focused in on the areas of law that I enjoy.
We have regular team meetings 1 on 1 with a partner each week to keep track of progress with files.
We then have bi-weekly team meetings to discuss business of the team, finances etc.
We also have quarterly team meetings where team from across all offices meet.
I have regular appraisals to discuss and review my progress.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
Given additional time off work for exams and study periods.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
As have developed confidence in different areas in law I have become mor confident at work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
I have gone to several networking events during my time here such as networking with clients at hospitality events, forums, charity events etc.
We are encouraged to find networking events that we are interested in and attend them
