Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Day to day I have a range of different takes including running my own files, conducting client meetings, calling clients, sitting in on meetings, drafting reports and many other tasks.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the programme, I enjoy the independence that I am given to run my own files and the confidence this has given me in both myself and my work. I really enjoy the atmosphere of the Colchester office and y relationship with my colleagues

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed a wide range of new skills, communication, organisation, delegation, prioritisation, the ability to explain legal jargon in a simple way, time management and comprehension.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I feel my programme is really well organised.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

We receive a lot of support at Attwells, from department heads, line managers and other apprentices throughout the firm.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider is good in providing support however sometimes it can be hard and take a really long time to get answers to questions.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Without these qualifications I would not be able to qualify to eb a Solicitor so they are really important to help get me where I want to be professionally.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are a lot of professional networking events at work and opportunities for other social activities.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Attwells Solicitors?
Look through the website before applying, tailor your covering letter/cv to show traits that we are looking for. If you do get an interview make sure to have answers ready for commonly asked interview questions and most importantly make sure to ask questions yourself so that you know Attwells is the right place for you.
