Overall, how would you describe your experience at Computacenter?
Great. Very welcoming people and you are always encouraged to do your best. People are very supportive and prioritise work-life balance.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Manage the budget, scope and timeline of a project. I also manage technical cutovers for acquisition projects.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I am the leader of the overall project so normally I am the one that makes others contribute rather than the other way around.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

My compensation package is currently £40,000 which is a year and a bit after working at Computacenter. I think this is great remuneration, however I do feel there is limited progression opportunities.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

I feel challenged on most days and I learn something new. This is great for future proofing me in a world full of dynamic projects.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

The formal training provides insight on external global events that have an impact on our industry. This helps develop my wider knowledge.

How is the support you receive?

The support has been fantastic, and I feel very much supported in what I do. It is also not overbearing and I do not feel as if I am being micromanaged. The trust is there and therefore I am much more productive.

Work-Life balance overall is great, however there can be some periods where it can be overwhelming.

Why?
Computacenter is focused on my development, not just the output that I give out. With my portfolio manager who is absolutely fantastic, there is always a goal of placing me with more responsibility or a bigger project. If you wish to strive in your career this is the place to be.
