Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My day to day role involves planning and actioning tickets from a backlog of requests regarding Software Enginieering within a Networks area
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
It's great. Nothing like any previous role I've had.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
So many. I've learned to code and how code is implemented in this particular space. I've broadened my indpendant working skills, as well as building confidence and working as part of a team.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Quite! The learning material is planned out pretty well. By following the KSB's given, you're learning those skills by default.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
A good amount. Especially from colleagues and my apprenticeship cohort.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I would message my training mentor from time to time and my questions were always answered. I espeically appreciate the support I had when going through challenging life events.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Again I think my apprenticeship helped me perform in my role a lot, becasue the skills gained came from actioning the KSB's required. From that I was able to transition those into my current role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Yes, however you have to ask about certain events to attend etc. Some are team specific and can be a complimentary day or two at a different location usually hosted by a vendor.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Lloyds Banking Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would recommend an engineering role to a friend because I feel it's a great opportunity to come in at an entry level with massive potential to grow.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
I would say apply, even if you think you don't meet the specific criteria of the role as it seems with many of them the learning is part of the experience. Tech is such a growing industry and I encourage anyone that's interested to just go for it. If you manage to come through via an apprenticeship, you gain a qualification whilst in your role too.
