Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My role is to support the Physical Integration team within Civil Technology and Future Programmes. On a day-to-day basis, my tasks vary, from systems engineering, research, communication with internal stake-holders and with suppliers.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have learnt many new skills - my experience has been the most wonderful way to enter the working world. Communication skills have been vital and I definitely further developed myself in that area. Furthermore, I developed initiative and decision-making, as well as confidence in a professional setting.

The support & guidance I received was excellent, especially from my managers and was tailored to my needs. At first I was given more support, and as I started getting more comfortable, I was allowed more freedom to run with things.

So much that I am hoping to come back next summer for another internship, and eventually, after I graduate, enter RR Graduate and Development Program.
