Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
I am a full time employee for the company undertaking a degree apprenticeship in order to have the required qualifications to progress my career. I do model based engineering to create page GUI's to be used on a platform system. I then create level 5 requirements from these GUI's which are provided to another team to code up the pages.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I am enjoying working towards a degree that will progress my career but balancing my day job and uni work is more difficult than I anticipated.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt how to create a basic AI system. I have developed my confidence, networking, time management and Python skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I know exactly what I need to do to complete my apprenticeship. No complaints.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
The business offers me all the same opportunities as apprentices who are new to the business and support me just as much.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
The apprenticeship is taught at B&FC endorsed by Lancaster Uni. We have 4 hours of lectures per week which doesn't really feel like enough time face to face with lecturers. However, they do provide adequate support when requested.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
As a full time employee undertaking the apprenticeship, I haven't learnt anything that will help in my day job so far.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Plenty of events and teams. My current team have socials every 2 month to get together as we have team members from sites all over the country. I would recommend every team doing this as it builds stronger connections with everyone you work with day to day.
