Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

We would be assigned a rotation on site for 6 months where we could learn the ins and outs of the area we were in and further progress our skills development. During this time we would intergrate into being a valued part of the team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It was enjoyable to learn new skills and take advantage of the opportunities given, I believe it would have been more enjoyable if it was more structured than it was with set and integrated milestones.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt many skills like soldering, mechanical workmanship, wire looming and some of the ins and outs of planning, engineering and inspection.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It was not very structured at all with quite a few thing being poorly relayed to us and sometimes not being told about things till the last moment.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

They were very helpful and did quickly provide many useful resources as well as providing an amount of study time.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

They were willing to provide as much support as you needed to get you though the course, offering advice from people in the business.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It is helpful for background and general knowledge but most the role is best learned on the job
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are many different extra-curricular activities provided by work like a board games club, social meetings and different celebrational meals and nights out.
