Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Thales?
Great flexibility and space to grow within the business. Great exposure to different areas of the business and opportunity to visit sites and take control of my own scheme.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I have enjoyed taking responsibility for some parts of the sustainability strategy early on and having responsibility early. Feels like I have learned fast.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
5/5
I feel an important part of the team already, only 6 months in.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
3/5
Unsure yet as I am a relatively new starter.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?
5/5
Very well. I am also doing a masters paid for by the government and Thales. I feel I will get a lot of exposure to prepare me for my future.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
5/5
Masters is developing my knowledge massively. I am also developing my corporate skills as my first corporate job. I have been given the opportunity to develop skills within the sustainability field within large corporations.

Experience & Company Culture

How is the support you receive?
4/5
Always quick responses and help.
I felt at the beginning my scheme wasn’t particularly structured as it’s the first time they’ve had a graduate, however that has had other benefits like taking control of my own projects.
How is your work-life balance?
5/5
Very good flexibility and real push on ensuring you have a work life balance. Never feel pressured to work in my off time.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?
4/5
I have felt very welcome from the start and see lots of inclusivity. Great hybrid working policies - enough so you see people in the office but great flexibility.
How would you rate Thales initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?
4/5
How would you rate Thales CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?
4/5
I am a part of these initiates. Challenging to balance all aspects but feel we are leading compared to competitors especially environmentally.
