Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As an apprentice I do 6 month rotation through different departments so it is very much a ‘work with the team to complete what work comes in’ type of thing.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I very much enjoy my time working at Thales and most of the people I work with are very nice and accommodating.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt many new skills and have been able to develop my existing skills with the encouragement of others.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme wasn’t that well structured when I started but since then with future apprentices in my position it has improved with a defined schedule of skill to learn.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive plenty support from team leads and apprentice managers in learning new skills and giving me time to work on college projects.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I get a lot of time during the week to work towards my end point assessment and similar tasks.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feels as though the qualifications help me learn plenty of transferable skills that can help me in future rolls.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are plenty of extra-curricular events such as apprenticeship evening events as well as working with local schools to provide a fun and interesting look into what we do at Thales.
