I do appreciate the support the company gives us to succeed. However I feel like a lot of responsibilities are put on the apprentice shoulder but I guess it is expected for a company like AstraZeneca

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I go to university 2 days every 2 weeks.
There is a lot of flexibility in term of hours and holidays offer to us to help with managing our workload and mental health.
There is also a lot of support of apprentices if needed

My line manager is always available when I need it
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We have a different teacher for every module making it hard to progress using the feedback received during the previous module. This create a lack of consistency in term of expectation
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I don't really see how I can apply any of my learning from uni in my current role right now. It might change in the future.

There is a lot of extra-curricular activities for anyone who wants to get involve. I am myself involve in a community group at work.

AstraZeneca is an amazing company to work for especially with flexibility and support they offer.
I just wish there was more equality in term of rotation as not all apprentices get to do rotation in other department or not as many

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AstraZeneca?
Make sure you showcase on your application all the things you do in school, at work (if you have a job) and in your personal life. Grade is not the most important, they are looking for people that can handle a lot at once and won't be scared of challenges. It is your time to show off !
