Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a daily basis, I work with metrics behind the service desk such as Average handling time, Ticket/Contact volume and First Call Resolution. As a data analyst, I use analytical techniques to assess these metrics, and apply them to our business to present stakeholders with insights that help aid business functions.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The apprenticeship was highly enjoyable as not only did I learn the different skills needed to be a data analyst, but I was actually able to apply these skills within the Business context. The company supported me throughout with appropriate mentors for the tasks presented.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

A vast amount of skills had been learned, such as a number of different analytical skills and knowledge throughout the data analysis lifecycle, such as data prep, data transformation and project deployment. Skills have been developed in programmes such as Power BI, Power Query, Excel and SQL.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Throughout the apprenticeship there were certain projects that were more structured with a larger team, whereas other projects were more independent without as much direction.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Computacenter were very open in terms of allowing us to reach out to individuals to support our journey. When reaching out, the majority of individuals would immediately, but there were times where no response was received.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I was assigned a mentor from Firebrand who was there to support me through all of the apprenticeship projects. They were available to reach out to from 9-5pm Monday to Friday, and they were very knowledgeable on data analytics.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

All the skills and projects completed during the apprenticeship have resulted in a better ability to analyse data specific for Computacenter. It has allowed me to help the operations of the business through evidence-based findings via analytics.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Computacenter often have different extra-curricular activities to take part in throughout the year. These are sometimes sporting events, other times networking events and even bake sales.

Why?
This company has a very healthy environment with positivity being a huge component. It is a very supportive environment, evidenced by the fact that the average time spent at the company is much higher than the average.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Computacenter?
Take your time to complete the application form. Include extra-curricular behaviour alongside technical capabilities.
