Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a day to day basis I spend the day learning by shadowing my colleagues and observing them do the task and then proceed to do the task myself. I also do different jobs every day which makes every day enjoyable as I’m always learning.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have a good work environment and good colleagues, everyone on site works as a team and has good communication and teamwork skills. I’m always safe on site and around my colleagues aswell as everyone takes care of each other.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Learning on site has been enjoyable as I’m learning new things everyday. The people around me show me the best ways to complete my task as safely, quickly and as best I can.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My program is very well structured having a certain amount of weeks on site and then going into college to continue my work on computers and practicing more practical work. I can always get support from the firm office whenever I need it.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive good support whenever it is needed, i only need to send a message, email or call someone and I always get help on what to do in whatever situation I’m in.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I am always encouraged to put my college work ahead of anything else. So I was offered to be let off site and go to college if I felt I was behind or needed to go to add more to my work as working towards my qualifications.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe that the help I get in getting my qualifications makes me more happy to learn and come to work as I know they are always helping me work towards a goal.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

The company always have a works due which brings everyone together to celebrate what they have done and lets people communicate which brings people together and builds better relationships with the people around you.

I would recommend BCL because they will help you when they are able to and have a good work force working for them who will help you and make you feel welcome and included while helping you grow everyday.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BCL Groundworks Ltd?
If applying I’d say make sure that you are willing to work hard. Everyone working for the firm won’t let you off if you aren’t playing your part which is good as it pushes you to make sure you’re working hard everyday.
