My role involves sourcing the best motor trade talent on the market - whether that's on external job boards, are answering calls from job-seeking candidates. I'm also considered the first point of contact for candidates and clients, meaning my customer service skills have to be exemplary. Furthermore, I also post jobs to our website and multiple other job sites, meaning my proofreading skills come into play.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Since joining Perfect Placement, I've really enjoyed their ability to trust you from the off, as it extremely beneficial for when you become a permanent recruiter. Due to me wanting to combine my writing and customer service based skills together; I've been really satisfied with the regular duties that I've conducted, helping my confidence levels in the process.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I definitely feel like I've learned several skills since joining such as a plethora of admin based processes. Moreover, being in an active recruitment environment like our agency is so beneficial, as you feel like you're learning something new everyday!

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My recruitment programme is very well structured, as the software we use allows us to submit assessment work in a clear and coherrent style. Moreover my designated tutor is brilliant at providing detailed feedback, as well as providing one-on-one support with frequent catch-up webinars.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The support I receive from my employer is fantastic, as they always respectfully console me if I've made any minor/major errors. The tone of the feedback is presented in a friendly manner, which is really important to me, so I don't lose too much confidence.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

As mentioned previously, I receive terrific support from my apprenticeship tutor as she always replies quickly to any concerns/struggles I endure. The training provider also runs a webinar session on each assessment module which aids my understanding significantly as it's helpful to reaffirm my knowledge, through industry experts.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The content provided by our training provider has been super beneficial for myself, as I often use it as a helpful reference point if there's any areas I require extra support with. Having this on the side supplements my learning greatly.

Why?
I would recommend Perfect Placement to a friend for multiple reasons, especially due to the fantastic workplace culture, but more importantly due to the calibre of subject knowledge which each recruiter withholds. Genuinely I find myself taking home one piece of advice/learning point each working day, enabling me to become more knowledgeable in the process.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Perfect Placement?
Absorb everything in! Although you still have a job to do, and candidates to find…you’re in a privileged position to work for a successful company with brilliant staff, that allow you time to grow without putting pressure on you! Every minute you’ll be evaluating CVs, every minute you’ll listen to phone calls from fellow recruiters, meaning you can take information and work styles from others, and then implement those strategies in the future!
