I am supposedly employed as a Data Analyst, but there is no other data analyst on this site and no projects that require data analysts. I have spent my time doing training courses.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The work is unfulfilling and the Level 6 university course is too broad and poorly run.
I have chosen to move onto the Level 7 version of the course which has been brilliant, but still quite broad.

I have undertaken multiple courses to upskill, but none of this has been provided by the business.

Seems like there is no structure or continuity between sites.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Time off for study is very useful. The latest members of staff that have volunteered to run the programme onsite seem much more invested.

Most of the university content as well as my work are not Data Analytics.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

They are starting to try and introduce more sports onsite. There is plenty of scope to join STEM activities.

Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
No
Why?
For anyone looking at Data, this is not the site to join. Other sites might have work, but there is no way of transferring and a reluctance to allow you to work fully remote to gain the experience you need.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
For this site (Christchurch) it is only software, and network engineering. Look to move to a different site and specifically ask about the project sectors when you apply at interview. This company is not the gold standard of how apprenticeships should be run at a Degree Level so lower your expectations before joining.
